Tips for Visitors

Unity of Madison is an inclusive spiritual community that welcomes people of all faiths and backgrounds.

Although we most closely follow the teachings of Jesus, we honor and draw from the teachings and paths of other spiritual masters.  We respect each person’s right to follow his or her own spiritual path.

What to expect on Sunday

You will be welcomed on the way into the Sanctuary by one of our Ushers.  If you have any questions, they will be happy to provide answers.  Services are typically one hour in length.  Unity offers inspiring worship services that provide practical teachings to help people live healthy, prosperous and meaningful lives.  The 8:30 service is on the meditative side whereas the 10:30 is more upbeat.  Both services offer a short period of meditation and uplifting music and singing.  Prayer Chaplains hold sacred space during the service and are available after services to pray with you in confidence for any concern or for gratitude.

Join us after service for Hospitality in the lower level (elevator and stair access) for coffee, tea and light snacks.  It’s a great way to meet new friends and learn more about Unity of Madison.  Also feel free to visit our Bookstore or Lending Library or enjoy some time at the Medicine Wheel or walking the Labyrinth.
