The Unity of Madison church building will re-open for Sunday services on Sunday, June 7th. As you can imagine, both the board and I (Rev. Evin) are diligently working to ensure a safe place for all who choose to attend (while highly encouraging those who do not yet feel safe to continue to attend our livestream services from the safety and comfort of your home).
We have been reaching out to other churches and following the guidelines of Church Mutual (our insurance company), state and local officials and the CDC (Center for Disease Control).
The Madison Senior Center is hosting a "Pandemic Pen Pals" program to support older folks who might feel especially isolated during Wisconsin's "Safer At Home" guidelines mitigating the spread of the coronavirus. MSC is looking to enroll older adults (55+) to match with young adult volunteers who have already been lined up.
We had a nice turnout for our spring cleanup day and the weather was nicer than we expected. We kept our social distancing and all wore masks. A huge thank you to our gardners that made it such a lovely work day: Nancy and Tom Sundal, Ann Zenner, Jeanie Verschay and Bill Bright, Elaine Stebleton, Deb Walker, Jill and Dale Wilkis, and Joanne Ruzicka (in case you can’t recognize us!).

RESOURCES FOR HELPING WITH COVID19:
A GOOD FRIDAY EXERCISE
Please make sure to join 10-15 minutes before the event is scheduled to start, so you have time to properly log into the event and ensure everything works properly on your end, and that you are able to see/hear everybody. Please find a comfortable setting in your home that allows you to be away from any disturbances for the duration of the event.
Hello again Unity of Madison!
COVID-19 is not going to keep Unity of Madison from sharing and connecting! In fact, I fully believe we are being asked to expand, to grow, to learn and to do "church" in new, exciting ways! Of course, virtual interaction won't take the place of our face-to-face interaction but it's certainly showing us that there are extra ways in which we can do so.
We still have some exciting events for our community and we hope you will join us!
